The East Kent El Scratcho

The East Kent El Scratcho

This Kent 4×4 Lane tour really is one of our favourites, and not just because it usually ends at a chip shop.

Starting at Ashford and heading east towards the coast the tour is, as the name suggests, rather scratchy!

Kent lanes do seem to be driven more than they were but remain untouched by the council. Last time we did this 4×4 tour we met a jogger in the very leafy Wye Downs section and they were delighted that at last someone was pushing the brambles back.

There are some good little climbs plans couple of currently impassible lanes that we are working away at.

This time we were blessed with overflying Spitfires doing barrel rolls as regular customer Vaughan departed for home with this D2 dragging its bottom with 2 failed airbags.

It’s a super day out on little known lanes. Views of France, a trip across Sandwich Bay golf course and of course, a chip shop round off the day.
