Lantra Qualified & Approved
Established in 2016, we are South-east England’s premiere professional 4x4 training and lane tour company. Lantra qualified & approved, Surrey 4x4 Tours and Training is a partnership of professional enthusiasts with decades of laning, training and overlanding experience. All trainers are fully approved by Lantra, the leading awarding body for land-based industries, and can deliver Lantra Award training for professional use as well as self-certified training for the enthusiast.
Based at our sites in Farnham and Popham, we also teach at off-road locations around the UK for corporate and private clients, at all levels of driving experience.
We also organise popular guided lane tours and adventures around the UK and work with the TV and Film industry on location shoots and special projects. We can also organise bespoke corporate or personal events based around 4x4’s.

From the finest routes for a local day out to a weekend’s overland adventure deep in Wales, our regular tours are expertly led for stunning scenery and challenging days on the UK’s best lanes. As Green Lane Association Affiliate Tour Guides, we respect the routes and your vehicles as we seek the road less travelled.
We operate regular trips out in Surrey, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Wiltshire and East Anglia. With a variety of skill levels we offer tours suitable for drivers of any skill level with maximum group size of 5 plus instructor.

Fantastic tour
This is a must for any new 4x4 owners in the Surrey area. It really helped to build our confidence in tackling the local lanes and understand the limits of our truck. Both guides were great but special mention must go to Mitch who’s superb knowledge of the local history was a great addition to the tour.

4x4 brilliance!!
Had an absolutely fantastic day with ‘Traveller Tim’ and ‘Mad Mitch’. Great hosts and very informative throughout the tour. I took my young family in the Defender 110 and they were thoroughly entertained throughout. Lovely balance of off-roading challenges, green lanes and fantastic scenery. Advice throughout the tour and lessons on driving also great. Thanks to Tim and Mitch for making it such an awesome day. Looking forward to the next one once I have cleaned the truck!!!!
Amazing day off roading
Had a brilliant day learning how to handle our jimny on the off road tracks. Gareth was really knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything. We explored lots of areas in the Surrey hills and couldn’t find a fault for the day. Will definitely be going back again and would highly recommend to all experience levels. Thanks for a fantastic day and one we won’t be forgetting.
