The weekend following the D-Day Tour, this is a more challenging 2 day trip that runs from Utah Beach (which we will drive on), north through forest and field and scratchy tight climbs up to the hills above Cherbourg. You’ll need a vehicle with good clearance and AT tyres for this one.
We’ll see France’s tallest lighthouse, a disused cold-war arms dump, a old military airfield and some cheese. Its a beautiful and exciting trip that we really enjoy. A remarkable and memorable experience.
Guides Maggie and Stuart will be camping and we can recommend sites if required. Maggie speaks French and we know both the area and the history well. There will be much to see and learn. It’s a classic tour.
