Peak District

Another great overland destination where Kevin loved to live and now continues to explore. Starting at the Victorian spa town of Buxton near the Pavilion to share the character of this lovely area, we will explore local lanes past the Blue John mines near Castleton and see the high peaks including Mam Tor close up.

After an overnight stop in a local pub or campsite, maybe sampling an iconic local Bakewell tart, we will  drive past Chatsworth House in all its glory and later discover the unique history of Eyam village.

The lanes in the Peaks are an easily accessible location for us to drive on a variety of surfaces through a combination of narrow, dry-stone wall bordered exploration and wide gritstone old drove roads suitable for all 4×4 vehicles. This is a great opportunity for families to start their preparation for further overland adventures.
