We are pleased to offer a new experience at Surrey 4×4 Tours & Training.
If you have thought about getting into overlanding, but are unsure how, or where to start, we have created a weekend experience where we cover the basics of planning and preparing for a UK-based overlanding trip.
The weekend is held at our training centre in Surrey and surrounding green lanes.
Over the course of the weekend, attendees will learn about:
- The Green Lane Association (GLASS)
- Understanding UK rights of way
- Tools for route planning (Trailwise 2, Memory Maps etc)
- Communication options
- Vehicle preparation
- Camping equipment
- Leave no trace and Tread Lightly philosophies
- Camp cooking options
- Recovery scenarios
- Tyre changing on the lanes
- Possible pitfalls
The weekend begins Saturday morning and includes camping and lane tours on both days.
BYO overnight camping equipment and food for 2 lunches, 1 dinner and 1 breakfast plus snacks.
